In a statement issued on the occasion of the World Quds Day on April 14, the Iranian Foreign Ministry has also called for extending real support for the oppressed Palestinian nation.
Today, Palestine and the holy Quds have turned into a symbol of unity in the World of Islam and the symbol of fight for defending rights of all oppressed and freedom-seekers from any race and any religion, the statement underlined.
As Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said, the Zionists and the Arrogance have adopte a fruitless policy on fading the issue of Palestine away.
As it is stressed by the statement, the Zionists continuation of anti-human rights’ measures, violation of the international laws and insult to the religious sanctities has turned the issue of unity among the Islamic countries as a necessity.
The World of Islam should support the Palestinian resistance mounted bravely against the occupying regime, according to the statement.
The Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes once again the country’s firm and principled stance on the Palestinian nation’s legitimate resistance, it added.
It was father of the Islamic Republic – Imam Khomeini – who named the last Friday of the holy fasting month of Ramadan as World Quds Day over four decades ago.
